Strong S.H.E.

Who Are We

 Strong S.H.E. is a female-led collective rooted in the power of sisterhood, empowerment, and purpose-driven leadership. We are a community where women uplift one another, celebrate each other's strengths, and create space for growth, healing, and bold transformation. Through shared experiences, mentorship, and collaboration, we champion the voices of women and foster a culture of resilience, confidence, and unstoppable unity.

Purpose

The purpose(s) of the Strong S.H.E. at 海角社区 is to assist EIU in increasing recruitment, retention, and graduation rates of Black and Latino women; to provide peer support, mentoring and networking opportunities for Black and Latino women. Our chief goal is not only to succeed in all our endeavors but to excel beyond expectations of the norm. 

Our Members

Membership in the Strong S.H.E. at Eastern Illinois University shall be open to those who are regularly enrolled at 海角社区. Members shall be comprised of EIU students who identify as female. Associate members shall be comprised of EIU alumni and/or honorary members; associate members may not be allowed to vote or hold office.

MLK Union, Effingham Room, 3rd floor -Tuesdays, 5 p.m.- 6 p.m. (Location/Date subject to change)
