New Sales Tax Rate Increase Begins July 1 -- Actions Needed

The Business Office Would like to notify all departments who charge sales tax that the requested rate will be increasing as of July 1, 2025. Please be prepared to make any necessary updates to registers, systems and software to accommodate for this new rate. The current sales tax rate of 7.75% should continue to be used until the new rate takes effect on July 1, 2025. The new rate will be 8.25% on all general merchandise. Items allowed under the 1% qualifying foods, drugs, and medical appliances will remain the same.
