Subject: The EIU Experience: A Look into the Classroom Diversity Initiative
<p>Dear EIU Student,</p>
<p>The EIU Student Government – Diversity Affairs Committee is currently working on the EIU Experience: A Look Inside the Classroom initiative with EIU Faculty Senate and MEI (Making Excellence Inclusive). This initiative examines how diversity impacts the classroom experience as it relates to EIU students’ ability to learn, their overall academic performance, and overall inclusion and experience at EIU.</p>
<p>To assist in determining how the EIU classroom experience supports and promotes diversity, the EIU Student Government – Diversity Affairs Committee is currently working on a video and survey project that highlights the personal stories and different roles that diversity plays in students’ respective comfort levels in EIU classes, their interaction with EIU faculty, and their level of class participation.</p>
<p>We are asking that you take a few minutes to reflect on the brief 10-question survey below (see link below). It will stay open until Monday, May 4th.</p>
